NE6
The NE6 plate is useful for connecting rafters without king posts at the peak of a gable. If you use an N plate at the top of the truss you will probably use a U plate on the bottom of the truss. 3/16" steel is a good choice for purely decorative plates. 1/4" is better for applications that need structural support.
